Why I Started Ella’s Angels​

So… hi. I’m Ella. I’m a high school student in Hollywood, and I started Ella’s Angels because I believe kindness is seriously underrated.

I’ve always felt a pull toward helping others, especially kids. After visiting Children’s Hospital LA with my parents and seeing what some of those brave kids go through, I felt this deep need to do something. So I started small — just a toy drive. But it turned into something much bigger.

Now, we do beach cleanups, clothing collections, holiday dinners, and even scholarships. It’s wild. What started in my room with a notebook and some doodles (and snacks… lots of snacks) is now a whole thing with events and donors and volunteers. I even have a pink logo. It’s cute.

I’m not perfect. I still have homework and stress and sometimes I forget to answer texts. But I know that no matter what, I want to keep spreading kindness in whatever ways I can — even the small ones.
