This past holiday season, something truly amazing happened. We collected hundreds and hundreds of toys for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles — like, an actual mountain of stuffed animals, puzzles, art sets, and more. I still can’t believe it.
What made it even more special was how many people helped us make it happen. From Ken at Ken Nagayama Martial Arts in Burbank to Spencer at EnRich Fit, and the awesome folks at Monrovia Community Adult School and Pomona AJCC — and a huge thank you to Hrair at claSicks in Glendale — you all opened your doors, your hearts, and your lobbies to help sick kids feel loved this Christmas.
Honestly, I think people forget how powerful kindness can be. Some of these kids are going through the scariest time of their lives, and knowing that someone out there gave them a toy just to make them smile? That’s magic. That’s Ella’s Angels.
So thank you to every single person who donated a toy. You made a real difference. And to the businesses who hosted our bins — you’re heroes in my book. Can’t wait to do it even bigger next year!
